Justice Wizard

(Just a thought that stemmed from this comic. I hope I’m not being blasphemous by likening God to Justice Wizard…)

We were animals on the inside. We bit and scratched and cheated and killed each other. It wasn’t always that way. We were at peace once, but we rebelled. He gave us what all we could ever want, but we wanted more. Things reached a breaking point and He decided enough was enough, and he stepped in. Our terrible crimes were to be dealt with. His punishment turned us into strange creatures. We were no longer like the rest. We were now to be humble, but strong; to be gracious but cling to real and hard, crystalline Goodness. The punishment was strange, our old selves were no more. We were now freaks destined to do strange things, complete unimaginable and seemingly impossible tasks, but the real mystery was that the ‘punishment’ came with ineffable joy, unexplainable peace all wrapped up in a deep longing. It was weird.
