Cute

Earlier today Eric, Andrew and I went for a barefoot run clockwise around Lake Merritt until we reached Lakeshore again, swung a left and jogged to Colonial Doughnuts. Eric and I got doughnuts and a churro for Zach, I also got a chocolate milk. Refueled and energized, we took a nice leisurely stroll back along the lake, taking in the beautiful weather and awesome sunset.

And right now they’re in the kitchen recycling candles by boiling them down and pouring them into jars! Gotta go.

“Just ask him how he did it; he’ll say pull up a seat
It’ll only take a minute, to tell you everything
Be her best friend, tell the truth, and overuse ‘I love you’
Go to work, do your best, don’t outsmart your common sense
Never let your prayin’ knees get lazy
And love like crazy”

Ken was right. Country music can be good. There’s something refreshingly simple about valuing hard work, loving your family/wife/friends/dog/truck, and God.

  1. i’m glad you guys are friends.

  2. ken and country music, oh man. The first time I met the kid, we were riding in my roommate’s truck to Mosaic because we missed the bus. It was his first time in a truck EVER. His first comment, “man, I feel so American right now. All we need to add is a dog.”
